Head straight for the Eiffel Tower from the Cler Hotel

The first floor of the Eiffel Tower has a new look that’s really worth a look. A new glass floor offers a view straight down to the ground, 57 metres below, that will take your breath away. Venture onto the glass to enjoy a vertiginous new perspective on Paris. With this major renovation, the world-famous landmark has become even more attractive and exciting than before.

A renovation in the spirit of Gustave Eiffel

As noted by the German ambassador at the inauguration of the transparent floor, renovations should always add discreetly to the nobility of a building in small and subtle touches, and never dominate. Using glass in this way is well in keeping with the architectural gesture made by the tower’s designer, Gustave Eiffel, when he built his graceful and elegant Iron Lady. Incidentally, this renovation was done with respect for the environment, enabling significant energy savings.

See through the glass floor: an experience not to be missed!

Who knew that one day we might safely enjoy such a spectacle? Look beneath your feet to enjoy a view of the capital’s streets far below. At the age of 125 years, the noble Lady has received a makeover, and we receive … an eyeful!

A return to prominence for the first floor of the Eiffel Tower!

It was only a rare visitor who lingered on the first floor of the Iron Lady in the days when it was all opaque. Visitors tended to continue climbing the steps on their way to enjoy the spectacular views commanded by the higher levels. Well, the days of the first floor being sadly overlooked are well and truly over. In addition to that amazing glass floor, this level of the Eiffel Tower offers us a number of new and attractive features, including a cultural journey tracing the history of the building and its architect, and two completely refurbished pavilions, utilising glass as their chief material and blending in perfectly with the structure of the original design to present a uniquely appealing appearance. Also note that the first floor is now fully accessible to people with reduced mobility.

Le Cler hotel: a perfect location for enjoying innovations

A stay at the Cler Hotel, where some of the rooms command a superb view of the Eiffel Tower, is the perfect choice if you want to discover all the new innovations that the Iron Lady now has to offer. Enjoying an excellent location amidst the many charms of the City of Light, our hotel will provide you with a warm, welcoming and pleasant experience. Having seen the new glass floor of the Eiffel Tower, why not take a stroll to the nearby Invalides, with its museums and monuments? Also in close proximity are the Champ de Mars, the Quai Branly Museum and the Seine. You couldn’t ask for a better location. Also, as the hotel is located in a pedestrian area, there’s a wide selection of shops and restaurants.
